The Council has been asked to consider a public weighbridge in Surat or the broader Maranoa area.

A public weighbridge is a large set of scales designed for weighing vehicles, including trucks and trailers to ensure that vehicles are within legal weight limits for public roads. They are accessible to the public and can serve commercial activities to support compliance with vehicle weight regulations, load optimisation and fuel efficiency. Weighbridges are designed to assist industry in weighing goods such as agricultural products, farm produce, scrap metal and more.

Council welcomes public and stakeholder feedback at this time through the Have Your Say platform

Feedback closes at 5pm on Friday 15th of March, 2024.
